שָׁמַיִם And רָקִיעַ

שָׁמַיִם is a contraction for the two words שֵׁם יִם (the name of the water) alluding to creation in Genesis where the firmament was established by dividing the waters. And רָקִיעַ (the sky) spelled backwards is עיקר (the firm) as the sky indeed was firm and central to the universe.
